Whether you’re just starting your private studio, looking to grow, or simply feeling a little stuck, Voice Teacher Mentorship offers personalized support for wherever you are in your teaching journey.
I bring more than 23 years of experience as a private voice teacher, college instructor, and teaching artist, along with my training and expertise as an Estill Master Trainer and Certified Singing Athlete Coach. Together, we can look at both the business of running a studio and the art of teaching singers—from policies, scheduling, recruitment, and retention to lesson planning, repertoire, vocal pedagogy, and creative programming.
Private teaching can sometimes feel a little lonely. We spend so much time supporting our students that we don’t always have someone to turn to when we have questions. Mentorship gives you a sounding board, collaborator, and fellow voice teacher who can help you work through challenges, brainstorm ideas, and build a studio and teaching practice that feels like your own.
Mentorship sessions can include:
- Studio policies and procedures
- Scheduling systems and studio organization
- Student recruitment and retention
- Lesson planning and curriculum ideas
- Vocal pedagogy questions and teaching strategies
- Repertoire selection, particularly for young and developing singers
- Small-group vocal class structure, themes, and lesson planning

Mentorship is individualized—there’s no one-size-fits-all formula for being a great voice teacher or building a successful studio. Your studio should reflect your strengths and fuel your creative drive just as much as your students.
